How do I make my emails look like my website?
Kicklace · Updated 22 September 2026
Paste your address and Kicklace reads your home page and its stylesheets in the background, then drafts a style from the logo, the colours and the faces it actually finds there — never inventing one. Look at the sample, adjust anything, and every email you send after that, to one person or a whole list, wears it.
Read from your own website
Open Style — Settings → Email → Style, or the Style button on the Email page, the same screen either way. A workspace with no style yet starts on two cards: From scratch, or From your website — paste your address and press Read my site.
Kicklace fetches your home page and up to six of its stylesheets in the background, and hands what it finds to a model that picks among the colours, the faces and the logo actually there — it never invents one. That takes a minute, so the screen says so and asks you to come back shortly, and a line lands on Home once it is done. A site that cannot be read says so, plainly, and the two cards are still there to try again or start from scratch.
What comes back is every part of the look, each its own choice: your name and logo, a phone and a postal address for the header, four colours, the face your words are set in and the face your headings are set in, how round the corners are, your header, your opening, your buttons, your sections and your footer. The sample beside them redraws itself as you change anything, and nothing you send changes until you press Use this style.
Set it up
- Open Style, from Settings → Email or from the Email page.
- Paste your address under From your website and press Read my site.
- Come back once Home says it is ready, and look at the sample.
- Adjust anything you want changed, then press Use this style. Every email from here — automations, broadcasts, one to a customer — wears it, and a postal address you set here is what every list you send to carries in its footer.
What it does not do
It reads your public home page and its public stylesheets once, never anything behind a sign-in, and it changes nothing on your site. It never writes a colour of its own — only picks among what your site actually uses. And nothing is used until you say so: a style it read from your website is a draft to look at, not a change already made. What your emails look like is the whole of it.
