Developers - You Don't Need More Analytics.
Kicklace · Updated 18 September 2026
Kicklace is designed to act as a partner and coach for solo developers and founders—unifying disparate data into the big picture so you can evaluate your marketing strategy, website copy, and customer fit without juggling complex CRMs or building yet another dashboard.
The reality of launching as a solo developer
As a new developer, you might be tempted to think that if you just build a good enough tool and get the right concept idea, people will instantly see the genius in your idea and jump right on board with it. We all see the viral hits that make the main news. The biggest issue is that people often don't realize how much work it takes to get a product sold—getting your product out there and seen by many people is where a lot of the effort is.
Depending on your product, you may even be competing against existing platforms. Although your product is unique and has its own focus, people looking on don't know that, meaning you are competing directly against the sales and marketing teams of huge companies.
As a solo developer and founder, you don't have time to build a super awesome product while also managing all of your leads and optimizing every single click to its fullest. It takes significant time to build your tool, figure out how to market it, and bring in leads. You end up trying to be a salesman, an architect, and a marketer all in one package.
Why dashboards and CRMs are not enough
There is a large gap in the market right now for a tool that addresses this balance:
- CRMs — CRMs are fantastic, but they take a lot of time, effort, and a dedicated salesperson.
- Marketing — Marketing is expensive and demands time, expertise, and focus.
- Analytics dashboards — Building a dashboard is very easy, but you do not need more analytics or a better dashboard.
As a developer, you are great at building awesome products with cool potential. But it is really hard to be awesome at everything all the time, 24-7.
Unifying your strategy with a coach
What you need is not another dashboard; you need a partner and a coach. Real insights involve answering the questions founders search for every day on forums like Reddit and Product Hunt:
- Do you have the right strategy?
- Are you selling to the wrong customers?
- Should you change the marketing on your website or the channels you advertise in?
Pulling in insights from all of your disparate data and looking at the big picture of your actual marketing strategy and website copy is really hard to unify and launch successfully.
If you can unify all of these loose ends into one compelling package, the product you spent so much time building will become compelling and useful to anyone visiting your website. Kicklace is meant to do exactly that.
