Your market

“We think this is your market. Correct us.” Kicklace reads the open web for who else sells what you do, what they charge, and where such products are found — every claim with the address it was read from and the day, market share never printed. This is what is researched, what is sent to do it, and how a correction always wins.

"We think this is your market. Correct us."

Kicklace already knows what happened inside your own product. Your market is the other half: what your product is, who else sells something like it, what they charge, and where such products are found and talked about — read from the open web, not guessed at.

What is researched

Kicklace searches for who else sells to the same people you do — direct competitors, adjacent tools people use instead, and do-it-yourself alternatives — what each one says about itself, what it charges where that is stated, and where such products are found: a community, a marketplace, a directory, a newsletter, a review site.

Market share is never printed. For a small product it is not really knowable, and Kicklace will not guess at a number, a "market leader", or a "#1" — a line that claims one is refused outright rather than shown to you.

What is sent to research it

Only your product's own facts: what your website says it is, its own prices, the first paragraph of your README where one is connected, and anything you've told Kicklace about your business directly (Settings → Operator rules → What Kicklace knows). Never a customer's name, a person, an email address, or a figure about your own revenue or your own people — the research prompt holds none of it, by construction, because none of it is the market's own business.

Every outside line carries its source and its day

Every competitor and every channel Kicklace names carries the address it was read from and the day it was read — printed as a link you can open yourself. An answer that would source a claim from anywhere else, or that cannot point to where it read something, is refused whole rather than shown with a gap papered over.

Correcting it

Read it on Settings → Operator rules → Your market. Rewrite what the product is or who it is for in your own words; remove anything wrong; add a competitor or a channel yourself by pasting its address. A correction always wins — a rebuild never brings back something you removed, and never drops something you added.

When it is built

Kicklace builds this once it has read enough to start from — your website, or a confirmed answer to "what does your product do?" — and rebuilds it roughly once a month on its own. An owner can press Refresh for a new one sooner, once a day.

What it costs

Your market is part of Pro: a real web search and a model call, which is where Kicklace's own costs start, same as sending an email or running an automation. Everything that only observes stays free.
