A Sequenzy alternative that puts every customer on one map
Sequenzy and Kicklace both read your site and write your SaaS emails. Where Sequenzy is the better pick, where Kicklace differs, and what each costs.
The short answer
Sequenzy and Kicklace start the same way. You give each one your website's address, it reads what you sell, and it drafts the lifecycle emails a SaaS needs for you to read before anything sends. As of 2 November 2026 Sequenzy describes itself as an email marketing tool for SaaS, with campaigns, flows and transactional email in one account.
The difference is what you are left with after that first draft. Sequenzy is a full email platform. Kicklace is narrower: it puts every customer and every email on one Lifecycle map, so you can see who is at which stage and which emails they get there.
If you want the broadest tool at the lowest price, Sequenzy is the better pick. If you would rather see your customers and their emails on one screen than learn an email platform, Kicklace is the lighter route.
Where Sequenzy is the better pick
- A bigger free plan. It charges for emails sent and never for contacts, and its free plan covers 2,500 emails a month with unlimited sending domains, so you can send from your own domain at no cost. Kicklace's free plan stops at 1,000 contacts and sends from Kicklace's own address, and your own domain is part of Starter at $25 a month.
- More than lifecycle email. Its pages describe transactional email by API or SMTP, push notifications, in-app messages, SMS, A/B tests, landing pages, a shared inbox and a drag-and-drop editor. Kicklace sends email only, with no A/B tests and no drag-and-drop builder.
- More connections. For billing it names Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Chargebee, Creem and Dodo Payments, and it connects to Clerk, Supabase, PostHog, Shopify and WooCommerce. Kicklace's built-in connections are Stripe for payments and Clerk or Kinde for sign-ups, and another biller's payments can come in from your own server with the kicklace package.
- Company-level email. Its Organizations feature can run a sequence once per company, so a five-seat trial gets one email instead of five. Kicklace knows which company a person belongs to, but its sequences run on a person, at their stage.
- An assistant can run all of it. Its remote MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor use every feature, and an agent sends to real contacts only after you give it full access. Kicklace has an MCP server too, but it never sends: a person approves every email.
- Help moving, or doing it for you. Sequenzy moves your subscribers, tags, sequences and templates from seven other tools for free, and sells a done-for-you service at a founding price of $499 a month with a three-month minimum.
Where Kicklace is different
- One map instead of flows. Sequenzy's pages describe flows that start on a signup, a Stripe event or an API call. In Kicklace every customer stands at one stage on the map, worked out from what they did and never set by hand, and each email sits on the stage that sends it. You see who is where and what they get without opening a flow.
- You see who it would have reached. Sequenzy also keeps drafts as drafts until you turn a flow on. Before you switch a sequence on, Kicklace shows who would have got it over the last 30 days.
- Nothing to set up before your first send. Sequenzy's getting started steps include adding your domain. Kicklace sends with your name on it from its own address until you verify yours, so there are no DNS records on day one. See it on your own site in the demo, with no sign-up.
Sequenzy says on its About page that it was founded in 2025 and has more than 5,000 customers, and Kicklace is newer, with the shorter track record. Kicklace sends up to 50 emails a day until you verify your own domain and 500 a day after, so it is not built for a newsletter to a big list. It is made for founders who have never set up a marketing tool or a CRM, not for a sales team that works from a deal pipeline or a marketer who wants a drag-and-drop newsletter builder.
Price
Sequenzy pricing
Read from Sequenzy's pricing page on 2 November 2026: it prices by the emails you send in a month, never by contacts, and every plan has every feature. The free plan covers 2,500 emails a month, asks for no card and puts a small Sequenzy footer under each email. Paid plans remove the footer and start at $19 a month for 15,000 emails, then $29 for 30,000, $49 for 60,000 and $99 for 120,000, with 10% off when billed yearly.
Sequenzy's figures and features are from its pricing, features, Organizations, About and home pages, all read on that day. It changes them from time to time, so check its pricing page before you decide.
Kicklace pricing
Kicklace is free up to 1,000 contacts, sending from its own address with your name on it and a small “Sent with Kicklace” line under each email. Your own domain is part of Starter, $25 a month. On the free plan, having Kicklace write the emails for you runs on credits you buy, and every new account starts with 14 days of Starter, with no card. The details are on pricing.
Which one to pick
Pick Sequenzy if you want the broadest tool at the lowest price, with transactional email and campaigns beside your lifecycle flows, more connections and your own domain on a free plan. Pick Kicklace if you would rather see your customers and their emails on one map than manage flows, and you want the lifecycle emails your product should already be sending, written from what your site says. The onboarding sequence for the first two weeks is a good place to start with either. For other tools, see the Loops comparison.
FAQ
Is there a free Sequenzy plan?
Yes, its pricing page lists a free plan for 2,500 emails a month with unlimited contacts, no card and a small Sequenzy footer. Kicklace is free up to 1,000 contacts.
Can I move from Sequenzy to Kicklace?
If you can export your people as a CSV file, yes. Bring it in under Your people. They come in as contacts, and nothing sends because of the import. Your sequences and templates do not come across, because Kicklace writes new ones from your site. Moving from another tool has the steps.
Does Kicklace do transactional email, SMS or push?
No, Kicklace sends lifecycle email. It has no SMTP relay, no texts and no push notifications. If your app needs an email API or SMTP for password resets and receipts, Sequenzy has both.
Free up to 1,000 contacts.
