Kicklace vs Attio
Attio is a generalized customer CRM for relationships and the revenue teams that manage them. Kicklace is a customer lifecycle platform built specifically for software products.
What Attio is
In Attio's own words, put into ours, from their own site.
Attio is a customer relationship management tool for revenue teams. Its own site calls it the CRM for agentic revenue, and describes a CRM that builds pipeline, advances deals and grows accounts: a data model you shape around your own objects, workflows over that model, sequences, call intelligence and reporting, with an API, an SDK and an MCP server for developers.
It is a general CRM in the good sense of the word. You decide what a record is, what stages it moves through and who owns it, and Attio gives you the tools to move it along. That flexibility is the product.

What Kicklace is
The one sentence, and what it means beside Attio.
Kicklace is an AI-powered CRM and customer platform for micro SaaS companies. It is not a general CRM you shape: it arrives already knowing what a software product's customer looks like — a visitor who becomes a subscriber, an account, an activated user, a purchaser.
Attio is a generalized customer CRM for relationships. Kicklace is a customer lifecycle platform built specifically for software products, where the record fills itself in from your website, your auth provider and your payments rather than from somebody typing.
Side by side
What each one is for, rather than a list of ticks. A tick list written by one of the two sides is an argument, not a fact.
| What is compared | Kicklace | Attio |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | KicklaceSmall software companies — a product run by one person or a few, whose customers arrive on their own through a website, a sign-up and a checkout. | AttioRevenue teams: sales, and the people around a deal. Their own site names workflows, sequences, call intelligence and reporting. |
| What a record is | KicklaceOne person, from the anonymous first visit to the email address, the account, the subscription and the purchase — one record across devices, with the first source they came from kept forever. | AttioWhatever you model. People, companies, deals and objects of your own, in a data model you shape yourself. |
| How a stage moves | KicklaceWorked out from what the person did. An event arrives and the stage moves; nobody drags a card to keep it true. | AttioYou define the pipeline and the stages, and a person or a workflow moves a record along it. |
| Where the data comes from | KicklaceA script tag on your website, one npm package in your server, and doors that need no code of yours: Stripe, Clerk, Kinde, Vercel, GitHub. Email in and out lands on the record too. | AttioTheir data model syncs and enriches it, and there is an API, an SDK and an MCP server to put your own in. |
| What the AI does | KicklaceCharts from a question, automations written in plain English, a paragraph on every record, and an assistant inside the app. One switch turns all of it off, every plan has a daily allowance, and the model itself never sends: it drafts, or it asks. | AttioTheir own site names AI search and creation in the CRM, and workflows that act on records. |
| How follow-up works | KicklaceOne sentence: when this happens, wait, only if, then do this. Email goes only to people who agreed to that list, with the words they agreed to stored beside them. | AttioSequences and workflows over the pipeline you built. |
| What it costs | KicklacePlanned. Nothing is charged yet, and the pricing page says so. | AttioSee their pricing page. |
Which to choose
Theirs first, because most of the time the honest answer to a comparison page is the other product.
Choose Attio if…
Choose Attio if your day is deals and relationships: a pipeline with owners on records, sequences to run, calls to record, and a data model you want to shape yourself. Kicklace has no sequences and no call recording, its deals are off in a new workspace, and its data model starts filled in: you add objects and fields to it rather than shaping it from nothing.
Choose Kicklace if…
Choose Kicklace if nobody on your team is selling. Your customers find the site, sign up, try the product and pay, and what you need is one record that knows all of that happened, email to the people who asked for it, and follow-up that runs without you.
Both are CRMs, and both have an MCP server, so both can be driven from Claude. The difference is what a record already means before you configure anything.
Questions
- Is Kicklace an Attio alternative?
- For one shape of company. If you are a software product with no sales team, whose customers arrive through a website and a checkout, Kicklace is built for exactly that. If you run a pipeline with owners on records, Attio is the better tool and Kicklace does not try to be it.
- Can I model my own objects in Kicklace, the way I can in Attio?
- Up to a point. You can add objects, fields, pipelines and stages of your own, and each one gets a board, a directory, saved views, an import, an export and a place in the AI's vocabulary. What you cannot do is start from nothing: the person, the organization and the lifecycle are already there, because that is the part a software product should not have to design.
- Do both work with Claude?
- Attio's own site names an MCP server, and Kicklace is one. In Kicklace, Claude can read the workspace and set it up — lists, emails, stages, fields, views, charts and draft automations — and sending, deleting and revoking a key come back to you as proposals rather than happening.
- What does Kicklace cost next to Attio?
- Nothing is charged for Kicklace yet; the three planned plans and their planned prices are on our pricing page. For Attio, see their pricing page — this page compares what the two are for, not what they cost.
